This custom-designed landing page for Fry Communications, Inc. showcases a modern, interactive design that mirrors the distinct architecture of Fry Building 4 located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The unique, cube-like interface, developed in 2001, served as an innovative digital representation of Fry's premier printing services through to 2006.
Each section of the cube highlights a key aspect of Fry's services: Pre-Press, Press, Finishing, Additional Services, and Customer Online. When users hover over a category, the area dynamically reveals an on-site photograph taken by multimedia designer Christopher Hann. This hover effect adds an engaging, tactile feel, drawing visitors deeper into the experience and providing a glimpse into Fry’s high-quality, behind-the-scenes work environment.
Built using Classic ASP, JavaScript, and Macromedia ActionScript with the Flash Plugin, this site was a technical feat at the time. The interactive design utilized on-site visuals to create a memorable, visually engaging landing page that left a lasting impression on clients, effectively showcasing Fry Communications as a forward-thinking, technology-integrated printing company
